Rock legends Kiss return with Monster, the 20th studio album in their historic career, set for release in October through Universal Music Enterprises.
The 12-track, straight-ahead rock ‘n’ roll album features collaborations among all four members—including co-founders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons and longtime members guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer—in an album that shows the band at the top of its game. And that’s saying something, considering their illustrious, 40-plus year history—28 U.S. gold albums, the most gold records for any American rock band, 40 million sales in the U.S., and a total exceeding 100 million worldwide.

Geoff Tate has filed a lawsuit against Queensryche and says "Things are going to get ugly"
Well, with every band there's tensions that arise over time. You've got different personalities all mixed together and there's always that kind of thing going on. We'd never been a band that had lots of tensions. We've had challenges with making records and with personnel changes. When Chris DeGarmo left the band in 1998, it was a pretty big hit for us. But really, this new thing is kind of out of the blue. I wasn't expecting anything like this at all.
I think it really began around February of this year. It mainly started with a disagreement about economics, about moving our merchandising to a third party. We had control over our own merchandising company for years and years and we ran it ourselves. It's a very successful entity, and the other three guys wanted to take it out of our hands and hand it over to somebody else and pay them more money to operate it, which just seemed liked a ridiculous business idea to me. That's really where the disagreement started.

Anthrax and Dan Nelson settle lawsuit
Anthrax have settled in court with former frontman Dan Nelson, who sued the group following his departure in 2009. The singer had been seeking $2.65 million, and while details of the agreement have not been made public, it seems unlikely that drummer Charlie Benante, bassist Frank Bello and awesomely bearded guitarist Scott Ian forked over anywhere near that much cash.
According to the New York Daily News, Brian Caplan, a lawyer for the pioneering thrash band, told a judge his clients had offered Nelson a "fairly small dollar amount," as well as co-writing credit on 11 songs from the 2011 album Worship Music.

Def Leppard "Rock of Ages" tour with Poison and Lita Ford
It's become almost like an official marker that summer is back - Def Leppard hitting the road across North America.
Last year, the British rockers toured with the sister songstresses known as Heart, this year, they're out with Poison and Lita Ford, guaranteeing a night of magical '80s anthems and enough well-polished arena rock designed to create some genuine hysteria

"Honey From A Knife," the lead off track from The Cult's critically-acclaimed new studio album 'Choice Of Weapon', hits radio this week. The song, rooted in the seductiveness of addiction, has been singled out in numerous media reviews for its raw energy, sexual rhythms, Billy Duffy's knife-edge guitars and Ian Astbury's impassioned vocals, all woven around the song's mesmerizing chorus, "We got the drugs, the drugs in here."
